Club Slither - After school 21st CCLC Program
Maricopa Elementary (Club Slither) Twenty-First Century Community Learning Centers Program (21st CCLC) is an after school program that will be from September 6, 2016 to April 7, 2017. The 21st CCLC is a competitive federal grant awarded to Maricopa Elementary for the specific purposes of providing after school activities and improving academic performance and Leadership skills.
Spots in the program are by invitation to those students needing the most help. If your child is not given an application, there may be opportunities later in the year. If you would like your child to be enrolled in the program, please contact the 21st Century Site Coordinators, Lorena Kelly at email@example.com . Students will be placed on a waiting list if your child's grade level class is full. In an effort to service as many students as possible, the tutoring program enrollment list will be reviewed regularly. Students will rotate in and out of the program based on academic need.
We are also excited to bring to our campus a unique program called Beyond Sports. This program also offers a homework time along with a full sports and fitness curriculum. This program is only for 3rd grade through 6th. Students are awarded spots by first come first serve. They also can’t be in danger of failing any subjects. Contact Coach K. at firstname.lastname@example.org for openings in this program.
The hours of the after school program will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 3:10 - 5:40. Each day the students will receive a snack along with homework support, academic support, and enrichment activities.
